Privacy Policy

Summary

Atelier sends what it needs to make your pictures and nothing more. Your prompt and any images you attach go to a cloud GPU to be turned into a picture. Prompt help goes to a language model. If you sign in, your gallery syncs to your own private account. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

Making pictures

• Cloud (iPhone and Mac). Your prompt, settings (shape, quality, steps, seed, Avoid, Text) and any images you attach as Person, Product or Reference are sent over HTTPS to a GPU worker rented from Runpod, which runs Qwen-Image-2.1 and returns the finished picture. The same applies to Edit this, Draw on, Cut out, Zoom out, Zoom in and More real, which send the picture you are working on.
• This Mac. With the This Mac engine, generation runs locally on your Mac and nothing leaves it.
• On your device. Deciding whether a photo shows a person, and where people are in a picture (so Zoom knows how far to go), is done on your device with Apple's Vision framework.

Face data

When you add a Person photo, the cloud GPU detects the face in it and computes a mathematical description of it during the job, so the person in the new picture keeps that likeness, and to measure how closely the result matches. It is used only to make that picture and is discarded when the job ends. It is never stored, never used to identify anyone, never used for advertising, and never shared or sold.

Content checks

To keep Atelier safe, each prompt, and each finished picture before it is shown, is checked against the content rules by a vision language model reached through OpenRouter (Google Gemini, with a Qwen model as fallback). Prompts that are refused, and a note of pictures that were withheld, are logged against your account to stop abuse.

Prompt help

Improve, Refine, Zoom, More real and Photo to prompt send your prompt text, and where needed a downsized copy of the photo or picture, over HTTPS to OpenRouter, which runs a Qwen or Google Gemini model and returns the text. Improve and Refine never wake the image GPU.

Your account and gallery

You sign in to make pictures in the cloud; it is also how your gallery reaches your other devices. Accounts are hosted on Berth, in the United States, and you can sign in with Apple, with an email and password, or with a code sent to your email.

• Gallery. Each picture is stored as the image plus a small file with its details (prompt, size, steps, seed, time), in a private storage bucket that only your account can read or write. Favourites and settings sync the same way.
• Security events. Sign ins, failed sign ins and password changes are recorded with the time, method, IP address and app or browser description, so Atelier can tell you about a new sign in and list your devices. Only your account can read them.
• Tokens. Your session is kept in the device keychain. Passwords and codes are never stored by the app.

Usage. Each account's daily count of pictures and prompt-help requests is kept for the free daily allowance.

What we don't do

No ads, no analytics SDKs, no third-party tracking, and no selling of data. Images and prompts are sent only to the services above, and only to make your pictures or sync your gallery.

Your controls

• Delete removes a picture on the device and from your synced gallery.
• Under Settings, Account, you can see every signed-in device and sign any of them out.
• Settings, Account, Delete account deletes your account, your synced gallery and photos, your usage records and your sign-in links from our servers straight away. Pictures you saved to your own photo library stay there.

Children

Atelier is for people 17 and older.

This site sets no cookies and runs no trackers. The host counts visits in aggregate without cookies.
